The Kings Langley Sci-Fi Palooza!

That’s right, this July we are holding our second sci-fi event!

What is The Sci-Fi Palooza?

The Sci-Fi Palooza! is a one day mini-con and celebration of all things sci-fi that is being held in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire UK. The Palooza will be an all day party for the whole family where we can all get together in celebration of our favourite franchises.

What will be at the Palooza?

We are going to have many dealers selling various sci-fi and fantasy goods, guests, talks, a gaming zone, a table top gaming zone, the Jedi Fight Academy, a bar that will be open throughout the day and an evening party.

An Evening Party?

Yes! One thing that was repeatedly requested last year at “Trek-On” was an after party. So we thought we would listen and go one step further by not only offering a bar that will be open during the whole day, but once the traditional aspects of a con wrap up at around 6 the evening party will kick off.

Will children be welcome?

Absolutely! Just like our last event “Trek-On”, the Palooza will be 100% family friendly and we hope you can bring the whole family to check out our event.

Who are your guests?

We are ecstatic to be having the wonderful Hattie Hayridge, John Carrigan, Alan Tomkins and Andrew Lawden will be joining in the celebration. You can find out all about our guests HERE.

The Jedi Fight Academy

Thanks to a break in Andrew Lawden’s filming schedule we are delighted to be able to bring the new Jedi Fight Academy to The Palooza!

If you fancy yourself a bit of a Jedi or are a young padawan, then come and join in one of Andrew’s classes and put your light saber skills to the test.
Andrew was the stand-in / double for Qui Gon Jin in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and just as Qui Gon passed down his knowledge to Obi Wan, he is going to teach you how to handle a light saber and even a bit of a routine from the films.
There will be three groups running through the day and each group can take 16 participants, so make sure you come and put your name down to join in when you arrive to save disappointment.
The JFA will cost £5 per person, so should you wish to join in the fun please come and see a member of staff at the front desk to book your slot.

How can I get tickets?

Tickets cost £3 per person and can be purchased in advance using Paypal, children under 12 get in for free with every full paying adult. Tickets will also be sold on the day, we will be able to accept both cash and card.

Your £3 ticket will get you entrance to both the day event and evening party, and also includes all talks and activities going on throughout the day.

To purchase your tickets in advance send the amount required for your tickets (1 person = £3, 2 people = £6, 3 people = £9 etc) via paypal to

You will then be sent a confirmation email with your purchase details, just bring this along with you on the day. Though should you forget your confirmation email, fear not, we will be able to find your details and guarantee your entry.

How do I get to the venue?

You can find out all about the venue and how to get to us HERE.

Can you recommend a nearby hotel?

There are plenty of choices in the vicinity of Kings Langley, but the two closest hotels are the Premier Inn in Kings Langley (0.3 miles) and The Holiday Inn Express in Apsley (1.6 miles), both of which we have personally used and have been very happy with.

You ran a Kickstarter?

Their are a lot of overheads for running an event and whilst we are funding the majority of the costs, we needed to make sure we got enough early ticket sales to make the event cost effective. We are delighted to have made our goal and are excited to bring you an amazing event! You can check out our successful Kickstarter page HERE.
